My main field of work is sculpturing based on physical thematics. Keywords for the projects I work with are evolution and ethics. My work is often presented as installations. The sculptures I make are classic and hand-verse reference in the conduct, while they also thematically incorporate issues in contemporary history.
About "Insufficiency" - New series
Five sculptures that display human-like figures set in improbable poses. The abnormal may be repulsive and attractive at the same time, while there's aesthetic dilemmas in relation to the bodies. The skin is both stretched tight over pointed knuckles or pushed together in meaty curves, depending on the extreme position the figure has admitted.

I have in this series a clearer physical focus than in any other work, and the characters are more human-like. The light pink plastic surface gives the impression of dead skin, and do not represent cast forms. They are rather to be seen as a moving and organic mass.
The idea is based on the physical and psycological conflicts humans experience in modern society. What is beautiful and what is natural? My interest lies in the conflict of these contradictions, and where the boundarie is between the beautiful and the grotesqe.

I am facinated of different materials and their characters. Therefore, I am constantly experimenting with new materials. I mostly use epoxy plastic, but also rubber, concrete and A-crystal in casting. Other materials I use include wood, steel, fabric and electronics as needed to make a point.

New work can be seen in my portfolio .
